Game Technology

Almost every game in our collection was created using a game building tool named Construct. These games are rendered using JavaScript and a mobile-friendly HTML design, so they work on desktop computers, laptops like the Google Chromebook, tablets like the iPad or Amazon Kindle Fire, and mobile devices like the iPhone. You can play this game on computers powered by the Microsoft Windows operating system, the Apple OS X Mac operating system, and mobile phones like the iPhone powered by iOS or Google Android powered Samsung. How to Play

Early

Each time you roll the dice you move on the board. If a plot of land is free you are offered the opportunity to buy it. If a plot of land is owned by another player you must pay them rent for your stay. The game also has tiles for jail and the chance card styled locations.

Later

You can buy any occupied land from anyone throughout the game. The purchase (or, in this game, repurchase) land costs far more than the initial purchase.

Strategy

Whenever you land on the jail you can pay 25 gold ransom to get out of jail, or remain in jail for 3 turns. While you are in jail you still collect rents on your properties. This means that when you are early in the game and there are many free properties it makes sense to pay to get out of jail, but when you are later in the game and most properties are owned it typically makes sense to stay in jail rather than paying the release ransom.

You can increase your rents on properties dramatically by building houses on them, but you must own a set of 3 to be able to add homes. When adding homes try to ensure you have a bit of a financial safety buffer so that you can afford to land on an opposing property without having to sell off your homes or properties, as the sale rate is far below the purchase price. Placing at least 1 home on each property provides a huge rent lift. If you can own multiple property sets in a row there is a great chance most players will land on one of them.

When you need one more property to make a set of 3 sometimes it can make sense to purchase it from a competitor, but if that competitor is close to going bankrupt sometimes you are better off not giving them money so they are forced to fire sale their properties.

You win by driving all the opposing players under, or you lose when you run out of money & can not establish a positive balance even after selling off your properties.
